2016-2017 School Year Sessions

Baby Play and Learn 18 months-2.5 years

Small group setting that focuses on early math and reading skills through sensory fine motor, gross motor, expressive and receptive language and independence building activities.

  • Weekly individualized lesson plan
  • Work closely with family to reinforce routines and skills that are used at home (ex. 18 month old working on “Where’s nose, tummy?”)
  • Monthly progress check-in

Offered 1 morning during the week: $25 for 45 minute session.

Play and Learn Pre-school 2.5 years-entering Kindergarten

Small group setting with 2 peers on similar academic levels. Focuses on building academic skills and self-confidence through early math concepts, phonemic awareness (rhyming, segmenting words, etc.), fine motor activities, and reading sight words. This group teaches strategies on how to be an excellent writer and reader so your child will feel successful when he/she goes to Kindergarten.

  • Weekly individualized lesson plan.
  • Weekly reading backpack with leveled books when your child is ready to read (See below for more info).
  • Subscription to online reading program RAZ-Kids when your child is ready to read. (See below for more info)
  • Monthly progress check-in

Offered Monday-Friday from 1-2pm. $25 for 1 hour session.

Play and Learn Kindergarten

Small group setting with 2 peers on similar academic levels. Focuses on building academic skills and self-confidence through math concepts, phonemic awareness (rhyming, segmenting words, etc.), fine motor activities, sight words and reading comprehension strategies. This group teaches strategies on how to be an excellent writer and reader so your child will feel successful in Kindergarten.

  • Weekly individualized lesson plan tailored to support child’s classroom academic objectives
  • Weekly reading backpack with leveled books when your child is ready to read (See below for more info).
  • Subscription to online reading program RAZ-Kids when your child is ready to read. (See below for more info)
  • Monthly progress check-in

Offered 2 afternoons a week: 3:45-4:45 and 5-6. $35 for 1 hour session.

Play and Learn 1st-2nd

Small group setting with 2 peers on similar academic levels. Focuses on building academic skills and self-confidence through math concepts, sight words, spelling, phonics and word analysis, and reading comprehension strategies. This group teaches strategies on how to be an excellent writer and reader so your child will feel successful in school.

  • Weekly individualized lesson plan tailored to support child’s classroom academic objectives
  • Weekly reading backpack with leveled books that your child can read when ready. (See below for more info).
  • Bi-weekly take-home game to extend learning
  • Subscription to online reading program RAZ-Kids when your child is ready to read. (See below for more info)
  • Monthly progress check-in

Offered 2 afternoons a week: 3:45-4:45 and 5-6. $40 for 1 hour session.

Drop-in Sunday option:

This session is held every Sunday from 4-5pm; it is open to Pre-K through 2nd graders. We will focus on reading and math activities similar to regular tutoring and enrichment sessions, but differentiate to meet each learner’s needs. This is a pay as you go session.

  • Ideal for families who want extra support in addition to their weekly session
  • Ideal for families who cannot commit to weekly individualized session but want extra support for their child
  • Ideal if you need to make-up a session
  • If your child is in the drop-in group only, he/she will not receive lesson plan, reading backpack, take-home games or access to Raz-Kids

Offered Sunday from 4-5pm. $20 for 1 hour session.

Sibling and/or bi-weekly session discount:

There is a $5 a week discount for families sending 2 children or families wanting 2 scheduled sessions per week.
